Scene Dimmers now available

The first products in our Scene Dimmer Range are now available

The are the budget versions of the soon to be introduced more advanced versions, and offer 4 x 1kVA dimmers in a single package.

Following the introduction of our Scene 41 Dimmers we are shortly introducing a new 4 Channel Dimmer Pack with Ceeform Plugs

Scene 41RCB

A 4 x 2kVA pluggable 19" rack mountable unit with Ceeform inputs and outputs

Front panel rotary controls, rear panel MCBs on input and output

For use in marquees, temporary installations and small theatre/school use

This is a budget piced unit and will be followed by a further version with slider controls and optional remote use.

Other Developments

Other new products which we are working on in 2009:

•a four channel (4 x 1kVA) hard wired dimmer for larger commercial installations (such as restaurants, pubs, clubs etc) remotely operated from our slider grid system. There will also be a four preset memory control for this dimmer. We also plan to make a 2x2kVA and a 4kVA version of this dimmer. The whole package above will be very competitively priced.

We will also be bringing out a trailing edge version of this dimmer and later a version with a DMX256 interface, both of which will be suitable for theatre use.

•an ultrasonic presence detector (to fit our standard housing) for situations where PIR sensors can be falsely triggered

•a touch dimmer with memory

GU10 proof dimmers

Because GU10 lamps are renowned for blowing dimmers and it is difficult to cater for this (unless using our trailing edge dimmer) we now produce versions of our standard dimmers with uprated triacs to better withstand the surges caused by faulty GU10 lamps. These are available now!

Trailing Edge Dimmer Developments

Following the introduction of the trailing edge dimmer we are intending producing a 630VA and 1000VA version of this in our standard high wattage package. Because of the lower power losses in this dimmer we are also expecting to be able to produce a 1500VA version of this in the same package.

We are also intending introducing a version of this in our slider grid package. This should be available soon

High Wattage Dimmers

The 630W and 1000W dimmers will also work with low voltage circuits, so you have even more choice when selecting the right dimmer for the job.

Dimmable Fluorescent Lamps

Our dimmers (including the trailing edge) will operate the new dimmable fluorescent lamps.

Low Voltage Operation

All our dimmers now operate with low voltage (electronic) transformers as well as mains tungsten lamps, so this reduces inventory costs because there is only one product of each type to stock.

Grid Dimmers

Our grid dimmers now contain adapter plates for MK, Crabtree, MEM and DETA grid systems. So now they will fit in more systems than anyone else's grid dimmer.
